Read more...Our family's journey into observing the Sabbath has transformed it into a cherished tradition marked by rest, joy, and spiritual renewal. Initially hesitant due to perceived legalistic undertones, we were inspired by friends who enjoyed the Sabbath as a gift.
Our winter Sabbath ritual begins each Friday at sundown with a special meal, featuring a beautifully set table with candles. The rhythm of setting aside weekly stresses and chores allows everyone, from the men who look forward to unwinding after a week of work to the joy it brings me as a homemaker, to rest and rejuvenate. Completing tasks in six days proves to be more productive, as we dedicate time to reflect and enter into Yahweh's holy day of rest, a benefit we've experienced profoundly over nearly a decade.

When our youngest son was born, I had a very eye-opening realization that I wouldn't have all my children under one roof forever. Someday not too far, our oldest son would leave to begin his own life.
